Gran Canaria’s airport, located between the districts of Telde and Ingenio, and the only airport on the island and one of the main airports of the Canary Islands.
All in all, the airport has three terminals (A, B and C). Terminal A handles local and European flights (EU), and terminals B and C are exclusively for interconnecting flights and flights to or from outside of the EU.
Additionally, its unbeatable location and perfect weather conditions make this one of the safest airports in Spain. For that reason, it is not surprising that it receives more than 12 million passengers a year, making it the busiest airport in the entire Canarian archipelago.
Likewise, this modern airport has an array of facilities and services, so you can take advantage of the shops to make some last minute purchases or enjoy some refreshments in one of its cafes.
Among the different options available, one of the best ways to get from the airport to any other location on the island during your leisure or business trip is by using a transfer service, which can accommodate up to 9 people. As long as it is booked with a minimum of 4 hours in advance, you can include any extras you need for your trip (baby seats, space for sports equipment, vehicle adapted for people with reduced mobility, etc.). You can also reserve a transfer service for other types of vehicles with even larger capacities, either a minivan or minibus.
The short distance from the capital city (11 miles) and its proximity to the main tourist centres (about 15 miles) make taxi transfers from Gran Canaria Airport short and pleasant.
As it is a busy airport, it is recommended that you reserve your transfer in advance to make sure you have access to the vehicle that best suits your needs and personal requirements. You can book online here.
